Kenny Omega is reflecting on some of his favorite matches including one he described as one of his favorite singles matches in AEW.
Earlier today when Kenny Omega tweeted about a massive V-trigger he laid on Joey Janela, referring to the match as “my favorite AEW Dark singles match,” a fan reminded him of a match against Kip Sabian.
Omega then responded,
“Was this guy in the first ever AEW match or something? What kind of rock has he been hiding under?”
To which Sabian recently replied, “DTA mf’er.”
Kenny Omega has been missing from in-ring action as he continues to recover from a litany of surgeries with some speculating that he could return as early as the AEW x NJPW inaugural pay-per-view, Forbidden Door.
As previously reported, Okada himself spoke about the event and questioned whether or not there was still unfinished business between him and Kenny Omega, but is open to the match since many have described it as a ‘dream match.’
After teasing a return soon several months ago, Kip Sabian continues to be out of action on AEW’s televised products other than appearing in the crowd with a box on his head that says “Underrated, Over It”.
One of my favorite V-Triggers. Janela was a fun guy to destroy in there and my favorite #aewdark singles match. https://t.co/vh7viau7w5
