Following his win over MJF at AEW Double Or Nothing, Wardlow has been announced for a match on tonight’s Dynamite.
As announced by Tony Khan on Twitter, the match will be against JD Drake.
Drake has popped up on AEW TV as a member of the Wingmen with Peter Avalon, Cezar Bononi and Ryan Nemeth, but also separately from that group in his Workhorsemen tag team with Anthony Henry.
Tony Khan wrote:
Mr. Mayhem @RealWardlow returns to #AEWDynamite tonight for our LA debut! In his first official match as a member of the @AEW roster Wardlow will fight another powerhouse with a high wrestling IQ in the form of @RealJDDrake LIVE on Dynamite on @TBSNetwork @ 8pm ET/7pm CT Tonight!
The storyline with the MJF match was that Wardlow worked for MJF and not AEW, but by beating MJF, he earned his way out of his contract and officially signed with AEW instead.
