There has been some fan outrage following a segment on WWE Raw, with some fans believing that a top star is now ‘ruined’.
During the show, Becky Lynch challenged for Dana Brooke’s 24/7 Championship. Lynch was ultimately pinned by Brooke, following an assist from Asuka.
A portion of the fanbase has taken to social media in disbelief that Becky Lynch was involved in a 24/7 Title segment, with the championship typically utilized in comedy storylines nowadays.
Surprised that Lynch of all people was vying for the gold and green title, one Twitter user questioned:
“they have my main it girl becky lynch going after the 24/7 belt now? who did she piss off? #WWERaw”
Not a fan of the 24/7 Championship, another wrote:
“God they have really ruined Becky Lynch ??? 24/7 title? That title is an insult for wrestling”
While a number of fans were against the segment, some have stated that they felt like the 24/7 Title was elevated, being utilized in Lynch and Asuka’s feud.
Becky has blacked out all of her social media accounts following Monday’s episode.
Also on the episode, Edge was kicked out of Judgment Day, immediately after introducing Finn Balor into the faction. There has since been a major change to Edge’s status, which you can read about right here.
