A new report has emerged which indicates that AEW talent has expressed frustration over changed plans for the World Tag Team Championships.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), word has made it to them prior to AEW Double Or Nothing that All Elite Wrestling was considering to put the tag team titles on The Hardys.
Frustration emerged out of that weekend from some talent who gained word that Jeff Hardy had been intoxicated publicly both there and in the talent hotel lobby prior to another event.
Hardy’s performance at Double Or Nothing against The Young Bucks was a cause for concern for talent as well, but it was claimed that Jeff sustained a head injury early in the match.
There has been plenty of concern about Jeff Hardy, but also some frustration surrounding the tag title scene following both Jeff’s injury and some indications that a situation like this could happen again.
As previously noted, AEW President Tony Khan announced yesterday that Hardy has been suspended without pay and will not return to the promotion until he completes treatment.
We will have further updates on this situation when they become available.
