Clarification has emerged on the status of Ariya Daivari, who recently worked for both WWE and AEW in the same week.
It had previously been reported that Daivari started his producer tryout in April. The former 205 Live star was listed as a producer for the June 10 edition of SmackDown, working with Abyss on the Sheamus vs Drew McIntyre match/
Daivari notably wrestled a singles bout at the AEW Dark taping the next night, leading to confusion surrounding his contract status.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Ariya Daivari is still working on a trial basis as a WWE producer. He and Adam Pearce were listed as producers for Cedric Alexander vs MVP on last Monday’s edition of Raw.
Daivari notably worked with Michael Hayes to produce the Roman Reigns vs Riddle Undisputed WWE Universal Championship bout that headlined Friday’s episode of SmackDown, according to the report.
Daivari made a cameo appearance on the May 30 edition of Raw during Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes brawl ahead of Hell in a Cell. Prior to the June 11 taping, Daivari had wrestled for AEW on an episode of Rampage in November 2021, and during Dark tapings in January, February and March.
