Wrestling fans were taken aback by a WWE-related bar in famous rapper Cardi B’s new track ‘Hot Sh*t’.
The line in question makes reference to WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka, with Cardi rapping ‘Now this that hot sh*t, Jimmy Snuka off the top rope, superfly sh*t.’
When a Cardi B fan on Twitter pointed out that Cardi can make wrestling related bars as she is a fan of wrestling, Cardi responded, questioning whether the modern fan would understand a reference to Snuka.
She wrote:
YES I LOVE WRESTLING….I kinda wonder if this new generation was going to know who I’m talking about
Of course, one person who definitely understood the line was SmackDown’s Tamina Snuka, Jimmy’s daughter, who simply responded:
I know who you talking about
WWE used Cardi B’s song ‘Up’ as the theme song for last year’s SummerSlam event, with reports coming out that WWE attempted to get Cardi to be a part of the show, which never ended up happening.
I know who you talking about😏🤟🏽 https://t.co/2fe1dO3lJn
