NXT 2.0 Great American Bash continued as champ Carmelo Hayes took on Grayson Waller for the NXT North American title.
After Grayson Waller used his sneaky antics to creep a Championship contract in a stack of items for Melo to sign under the guise of autographs during last week’s NXT 2.0, they faced off for the North American Championship.
Melo received a special entrance with pyro and complete with a truly American themed show on his way to the ramp to take on the Australian, Waller.
Even with a run out from Wes Lee to interrupt Trick Williams from interrupting Waller’s running stunner, Carmelo Hayes was still able to best Grayson Waller to retain his NXT North American Championship by pinfall victory.
Earlier in the show, new Women’s Tag Team Champions were crowned with a challenge to another champ issued for next week’s NXT 2.0.
