Announced for GCW Homecoming, the Interim AEW World Champion who also happens to be the GCW World Champion, Jon Moxley.
Mox will be in action for GCW Homecoming Part 1 live from Atlantic City on August 13, 2022.
While his opponent for Homecoming is still TBD, he will first have to defend his GCW Championship against Blake Christian at The People vs. GCW set for Friday, July 29 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Also already announced for the event, the Briscoes taking on Los Macizos and Nick Wayne vs. Starboy.
While it is unclear what is in store for the GCW Championship, another uncertainty lies in whether or not Mox might still be holding the Interim AEW World Championship title by the time he hits Atlantic City for GCW’s event.
There have been reports floating about regarding the return of CM Punk and while it was noted to be unlikely by August, it seems Jon Moxley might he headed towards an AEW World title unification as soon as September’s All Out.
Jon Moxley has been on fire as of late in AEW with a current win/loss record in 2022 of 25-1-0.
