An NXT 2.0 star appeared at the WrestleMania 39 Launch Party event and teased a possible main roster call up.
One segment of the WWE WrestleMania 39 Launch Party featured comedian Gabriel Iglesias on stage along with Corey Graves, Kayla Braxton with Santos Escobar, Roxanne Perez and new WWE signing, MMA fighter Valerie Loureda.
During the segment, Santos Escobar was interviewed by Corey Graves and teased Legado Del Fantasma making their WrestleMania debut and his plan to make WrestleMania 39 into SantosMania!
Santos Escobar has a stipulation match at the upcoming special edition of NXT 2.0, Heatwave coming this Tuesday, August 16.
If Escobar loses, he will “never be seen in NXT again” however if he wins, he frees his Legado Del Fantasma faction from the rule of Tony D’Angelo.
Elsewhere, Queen Zelina appeared (and continues to have that accent) however announced via catchphrase that she was back in action, saying:
“Clickety-clack, the Queen is back”
SoFi Stadium was transformed from a football stadium to a wrestling arena on the gridiron as a ring has been set up on the 50 yard line and already one match having occurred in front of the excited crowd.
Raquel Rodriquez picked up the pinfall victory over Nikki A.S.H. in the first match of the two-hour special.
