Former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush has teased his WWE return with Triple H now in charge of WWE creative.
On Twitter, Rush shared an intriguing video, showcasing a highlights from his pre-WWE career, as well as his WWE run.
The video ends shortly after showing a screenshot of the announcement of his WWE release, but not before Rush notes that ‘this isn’t the end.’
In a follow-up tweet, Rush shared a photo of himself and Lashley from when he was a manager for the All Mighty.
Since finishing up with WWE in April 2020, Rush has wrestled for a number of top promotions including AEW, NJPW and PWG.
He last wrestled during the PWG Battle of Los Angeles tournament in January, and has been recovering from a shoulder injury he suffered during his tournament match against Buddy Matthews.
At the NJPW Capital Collision taping in May, Rush issued a warning to the NJPW junior heavyweight roster for when he returns.
In June, Rush exclusively told WrestleTalk that he didn’t have a timetable for his return, but planned to focus on NJPW when cleared to compete.
Of course, a lot has happened since this interview, with Vince McMahon retiring, and Triple H taking over WWE creative.
