TMZ has shared a new police video of Jake Atlas’ arrest earlier this year.
Atlas, real name Kenny Marquez, was arrested on May 23 and charged with domestic violence battery. Police documents note that officers responded to a domestic violence call at Atlas’ home at 12:57am, with Atlas allegedly becoming physically aggressive with his partner following a verbal argument. The new police footage shows Marquez informing an officer that he was an ‘international trained superstar’, before the officers eventually cuffed the former WWE NXT talent.
The domestic violence charges against Marquez was dropped in June after officials determined that the case was ‘not suitable for prosecution.’
In July, Marquez shared an apology and statement on substance abuse to Twitter. You can read the statement at this link.
Marquez has been out of action since January, after suffering an injury during an AEW Rampage taping. He reportedly isn’t expected back in AEW.
