Will Ospreay has been considered by many wrestling fans to be one of, if not the, wrestler of the year for 2022 so far, taking part in many great matches across NJPW, AEW and the independents.
Ospreay recently returned to AEW for the first time since the Forbidden Door show, taking part in the AEW Trios Championship tournament alongside Aussie Open.
The United Empire trio defeated Pac and the Lucha Bros of Death Triangle in the opening round, before being defeated by Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks on last night’s Dynamite.
Ospreay took to Twitter earlier today, noting that, for the foreseeable future, his time in AEW is over.
Ospreay went on to thank Tony Khan for ‘not listening to Kenny’s attempts at blocking him’, before signing off with a warning to Omega himself.
For the foreseeable future my time with @AEW is done thanks to @TonyKhan for having your own mind and not listening to @KennyOmegamanX attempts at blocking me from coming to do a few matches for ya. We are even for now Ken, keep your mouth shut & we won’t have any issues.
The Elite’s victory over the United Empire punched their ticket to All Out, where they will face the winner of the Rampage final on this week’s episode of AEW Rampage.
Kenny Omega took several hilarious shots at Will Ospreay during his entrance introduction ahead of last night’s trios match.
