The backstage issues in All Elite Wrestling have been the talk of the wrestling world in recent weeks, starting with the incident between Eddie Kingston and Sammy Guevara that resulted in Kingston being suspended, to the recent drama with CM Punk and the Elite at the All Out media scrum.
The incident began when CM Punk went on a fiery rant towards Hangman Adam Page, Colt Cabana and the executive vice presidents of AEW, before a fight broke out once Punk left the scrum between Punk, Ace Steel and the Elite.
The fight allegedly saw Punk throw punches at Matt Jackson, before Ace Steel joined in the melee, throwing a chair at Nick Jackson, hitting him in the eye, as well as biting Kenny Omega.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), there has been a lot of backstage praise on Chris Jericho by those that spoke to Fightful. The praise came due to Jericho ‘stepping up’ even more so in a leadership role over the past couple of weeks, with multiple sources citing his calm demeanor at the scrum amidst all of the wildness that was going on, and him speaking at the AEW talent meeting recently.
