Several WWE main roster stars have made the trip down to NXT since the turn of the new year, beginning with AJ Styles’ one off encounter with Grayson Waller back in January, and recently with Nikki A.S.H and Doudrop defeating Toxic Attraction.
Another main roster star to make the trip down to NXT recently was Ricochet, who took on Carmelo Hayes for the NXT North American Championship in a losing effort at NXT Worlds Collide.
Ricochet recently spoke to NBC Sports Boston’s ‘The Ten Count’, where he spoke about his match with Hayes, and claimed that he should be on the WWE main roster right now.
He said:
“Raw, Smackdown, everywhere he goes, he’s going to show out and show why he belongs there, so I don’t see why not. If Solo’s wandering around here doing anything, I don’t see why ‘Melo can’t be doing the same thing.”
Hayes ended up losing the North American Championship to Solo Sikoa on last week’s episode of NXT 2.0, despite Sikoa being called up to the SmackDown brand as a member of the Bloodline at Clash at the Castle.
Sikoa went on to defend the North American Championship on SmackDown, defeating Madcap Moss.
