**UPDATE – Wheeler Yuta has since announced that he will not be making the AEW Rampage show due to the double-booking. Find out what match AEW announced as a replacement here.**
An AEW star is set to appear on Friday’s Rampage and the NJPW Rumble On 44th Street event on the same night.
During the October 26 edition of AEW Dynamite, the company announced that Blackpool Combat Club’s Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli will face Jericho Appreciation Society’s “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard and “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker on the October 28 live episode of Rampage.
This might have created a slight dilemma for Yuta due to a previous booking for one of AEW’s international partners.
New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that Wheeler Yuta will team with Homicide and Shota Umino to face Team Filthy’s Tom Lawlor and The West Coast Wrecking Crew on Friday’s NJPW Rumble On 44th Street event from New York City.
With Rampage set to emanate from Uncasville, Connecticut and NJPW running in New York, Yuta will have a 2 hour and 44 minute car ride between locations, according to Google Maps.
It remains to be seen if either AEW or NJPW will announce a change to one of the scheduled matches.
Yuta last appeared on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite in a tag team win with Claudio Castagnoli over Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia.
