Plans for Brock Lesnar’s next match following WWE Crown Jewel 2022 yesterday (November 5) look to have been revealed.
Brock Lesnar faced Bobby Lashley at Crown Jewel, with Lesnar scoring a lucky flash pinfall win.
After the match, Lashley attacked Lesnar in what looked to be a potential heel turn.
It sounds like this was to set up another rematch, as Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that there is another Lesnar vs Lashley match planned.
Meltzer said:
“Originally it was gonna be Day 1, but obviously that’s out.”
WWE canceled its planned Day 1 Premium Live Event for Atlanta on January 1, 2023, and instead is now just going to Atlanta for a house show on December 27.
Lashley and Lesnar are now 1-1, so whenever the third match takes place will be the decider in their series.
WWE has Survivor Series WarGames set for November 26, but then no Premium Live Event scheduled until Royal Rumble on January 28.
The company did just file a new trademark for TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, which has traditionally been a December event, so perhaps that’s coming back to fill the gap, but that isn’t confirmed.
