Jim Ross Shares Latest Health Update AEW

Jim Ross has provided an update on his health after starting a specialist wound management program of treatments.

Speaking on Grilling JR, JR gave an update on how his wounds are healing, saying:

“I’m still dealing with this frigging wound.”

He has previously posted a photo of the wound, which is flagged as “sensitive media”, on Twitter.

Going on to explain the wound care process, he said:

“These wound care people are serious. I went to my first appointment and I thought it was gonna be about 30 minutes. It was three hours.”

That amount of time for a single appointment carried with it concerns for JR, who described the experience in stark terms:

“Here’s what happens there mentally:

“You have three hours to contemplate your fate.

“What if they find cancer back? What if? What if? What if?

“So it’s very unsettling to say the least.

“Then you get the news. ‘Well, it’s probably gonna take six more months of healing.'”

The specialists do have a plan to help JR recover, however that has hurdles of its own, with JR stating:

“They want me to do the hyperbaric chamber, but here’s the problem with that.

“They want to do it every day.

“I said, ‘I can’t do it every day. I just can’t. I work. I have a job.

“I made commitments professionally that I’m gonna maintain and keep.’

“It’s not a matter of putting my job before my health.”

“Now if I wasn’t working, I would go along with their plan.”

JR says that his doctor is going to try to treat it via other means, explaining that:

“So he’s going to try to treat it without using the hyperbaric chamber or whatever it’s called and we’ll see how it goes.

“I told the doctor, ‘We have to be creative doc. We can’t just get in the rut of this how you do this. There’s got to be other options’

“He said, ‘Well, there are some other options.’

“Let’s explore them!”

WrestleTalk wishes Jim Ross well as he continues the healing process.
