WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin came out of retirement at this year’s WrestleMania 38 event in Dallas this year.
Austin took on Kevin Owens in an impromptu match in the main event of night one of the show.
Austin picked up the victory with a Stunner in a match that was very well received by both fans and those in the company.
After the match, which was the first match for Stone Cold in 19 years, reports emerged that Austin enjoyed the experience, and would be open to doing it again in the future.
Austin recently shared videos of him working out and keeping in great shape, which sparked rumours of a potential other match for Austin in the future.
Well, per Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE wants Austin to do more with the company.
When the Vince McMahon regime was in charge, they had hoped for Austin to return for another match.
However, the new Triple H-led regime took it a step further, and have actually offered another match for the Texas Rattlesnake.
The sources said that they weren’t sure if the offer was for a Saudi Arabia match, WrestleMania, or another time and place, but that an offer was made.
The sources presumed it would be for WrestleMania 39 next year in Los Angeles, but that wasn’t confirmed, nor was a potential opponent.
Another source indicated that initially Austin and WWE were far apart on terms.
