Ring of Honor commentator Ian Riccaboni has revealed that he’s not ruling out a potential WWE run in the future.
There is currently a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of ROH’s presentation, Tony Khan still yet to announce a TV deal for the promotion he acquired in March.
During a K & S WrestleFest virtual signing, the Riccaboni was asked if he’d ever consider working for WWE.
Riccaboni noted that he enjoys being part of ROH, but would ‘never say never’ about potentially joining WWE one day.
Riccaboni said:
“I’d never say never (about working for WWE).
I really like working for AEW and Ring of Honor right now and it would have to be something I really enjoyed and believed in and Ring of Honor’s that right now so I’ve been with Ring of Honor for eight years going on nine.”
In 2019, Riccaboni signed a multi-year deal with ROH, following interest from both WWE and AEW.
ROH notably went on a hiatus following Final Battle 2021, and returned in April with Supercard of Honor, the first ROH pay-per-view following Tony Khan’s acquisition of the promotion.
In August, Fightful Select reported that Riccaboni was on a previous ROH contract, from before the promotion was sold to Khan.
Tony Khan recently discussed his plans for the future of ROH, which you can read about right here.
