The portrayal of the AEW women’s division has been a large talking point for wrestling fans since the company’s inception.
While some fans believe that AEW is doing a better job of showcasing their women’s wrestlers, others believe that there is still a lot left to be desired.
The AEW Full Gear pay-per-view featured three women’s matches; Saraya’s return match against Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter’s AEW Women’s World Championship victory over Toni Storm, and Jade Cargill’s defence against Nyla Rose.
Vickie Guerrero spoke to Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s FaceTurn, where she spoke about the one thing that she wishes for the AEW women’s division.
She said:
“I wish we had more TV time. I wish we had more content that the women could be shown every night, in different capacities.
“But I think for right now, you know, we have the talent. Our locker room is strong, and it’s just, now, what we’re going to do creatively, I think everyone is just eager and hungry to show what they have, and it’s an exciting time.”
