Shawn Michaels has given some more insight on Triple H’s current involvement with the management of the WWE NXT brand.
Triple H was often praised for his work on the NXT product during the brand’s ‘Black and Gold’ era. The Game took some time away from WWE after his cardiac event in September 2021, leaving Shawn Michaels to oversee NXT operations.
After Vince McMahon’s WWE departure in July, Triple H was elevated into the position of Chief Content Officer. Shortly after, Shawn Michaels officially became the company’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative.
During the pre-Deadline conference call, Shawn Michaels was asked how much input Triple H has on the current NXT product.
Michaels indicated that he and Triple H don’t talk much, noting that his biggest issue with their relationship is that they don’t get to hang out as much socially.
Michaels noted that there hasn’t been much communication between his team and Triple H, but has the ‘no news is good news’ mindset, because they’re both busy and have a lot on their plates.
Triple H currently oversees WWE creative on all brands as the Chief Content Officer.
Chairwoman Stephanie McMahon and President Nick Khan currently serve as WWE co-CEOs following Vince McMahon’s retirement.
Shawn Michaels says Triple H just lets him do what he wants with NXT. There hasn't been much communication between them the last couple of weeks
