With reports that AEW creative had nothing for him and a low record of four matches to date in 2022, it has been a bleak time for one AEW star.
Fightful Select had recently reported that Miro is ready to compete in AEW, though creative hasn’t presented him with anything.
Dave Meltzer, in the current issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), has challenged the report, saying:
“Fightful reported that Miro was healthy and not doing acting and was not being used because there was no creative idea for him.
“The first part is accurate.
“The second part is very much not.”
Meltzer would go on to clarify the story, based on his sources, saying:
“He isn’t injured and he is available.
“Ideas were presented for him in September for an angle that would go through Full Gear but he wasn’t down with them, so rather than put him on TV for no purpose, they were waiting for him to agree to creative.
“He’s expected back soon and the sides have been talking.”
There are no details as to what the plans would entail or where Miro would fit into the television product, but a return can only be highly anticipated for AEW fans.
