AEW held its special Winter Is Coming episode of AEW Dynamite tonight (December 14).
The show kicked off with match four of the Best of Seven series between the Elite and Death Triangle.
The inaugural Trios Champions entered the match with a 2-1 disadvantage, with them losing the first two matches to Death Triangle before scoring their first victory of the series on November 30.
The Elite had an immediate disadvantage, when Nick Jackson was escorted to the back after suffering an injury.
Matt Jackson and Kenny Omega fought the match at the numbers disadvantage for some time, before Nick returned to the match.
However, Nick’s injury ultimately led to his downfall, with Fenix submitting him to an Ankle Lock to extend Death Triangle’s lead to 3-1.
The fifth match of the series will take place on next week’s episode of Dynamite, and will be a No Disqualification match.
