A big update has emerged on the status of a former WWE talent who the company has recently shown interest in.
As previously reported, several promotions, including WWE, are interested in signing EJ Nduka. The ex-NXT name previously wrestled for the company as Ezra Judge.
Nduka currently wrestles for MLW and notably holds the promotion’s World Tag Team Championship alongside Calvin Tankman.
Per a new update from Fightful Select (subscription required), Nduka is actually a free agent, following his MLW contract expiring on January 1.
Fightful noted that this was confirmed to them by Nduka and MLW, however there was no word given to them on potential contract talks.
AEW and promotions in Japan have also shown interest in Nduka, according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Nduka signed with WWE in 2018 and only wrestled a handful of house show matches before he was let go by the company in early 2021.
Numerous WWE names have returned to WWE under the Triple H regime, following The Game taking over creative after Vince McMahon’s departure.
Vince McMahon has now officially returned to the WWE board of directors, which you can read more about right here.
