Thunder Rosa has been away from AEW television since August 2022, though has recently made a return that you may have missed!
The former AEW Women’s Champion had recently discussed her return plans but said that she wasn’t going to be wrestling just yet.
Thunder Rosa’s absence was due to a back injury that she had been dealing with for a while.
In the current Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Dave Meltzer revealed just what Thunder Rosa has been up to, writing:
“Rosa was back at TV this week but didn’t perform in a match or angle. She did Spanish language commentary.”
Thunder Rosa also recently revealed that she is taking acting classes and wants to get better at promos so that she can be featured on television more often.
She isn’t just stopping at acting either, as she also said that she is taking singing classes and hopes to the show the world that she is multi-talented.
There had previously been speculation as to the in-ring return date of Thunder Rosa with Meltzer suggesting February 2023 when discussing the subject last November.
