A former AEW star and veteran of the ring has revealed the advice that he received from William Regal and Chris Jericho.
Now signed with IMPACT Wrestling, Frankie Kazarian revealed the advice he was given during his time in AEW on the Ask Frankie Live Q&A episode of Ad Free Shows.
On the topic of William Regal, Kazarian said:
“William Regal, who is a friend and gentleman, called me over and he kind of whispered in my ear, ‘Have you been doing this s*** too long to not take advice?’
“I said, ‘Me? Regal, absolutely not. What do you got for me?’ And he gave me some advice on the match I just did and it made perfect sense and this is me 25 years in.”
Regal’s time in AEW was short, with the wrestling legend returning to WWE to take up an executive role.
Tony Schiavone considered Regal “the most valuable person you can have“, praising his work with the younger talent in AEW.
Chris Jericho would be the other name that Kazarian would discuss, saying:
“Chris Jericho is another one … has given me so much good advice, you know, not just in terms of pro wrestling, but outside the business.”
Kazarian recently reflected on his AEW run and expressed the belief that he was “undervalued” by the company.
