El Hijo Del Vikingo’s AEW debut has now been announced, which you can read about right here.
Another big AEW debut is set to happen soon with a highly regarded star of the Lucha Libre style making their way to Tony Khan’s company.
Having been unable to secure the presence of El Hijo de Vikingo for the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match on March 1, Khan sought the services of Komander instead.
With Tony Khan revealed that he will be announcing a “long-awaited dream match” for the March 22 episode of AEW Dynamite, a potential name has been thrown into the mix.
WRKD Wrestling tweeted that:
“Vikingo will be making an AEW appearance shortly.”
El Hijo de Vikingo currently works for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.
He is the AAA Mega Champion having defeated Samuray Del Sol, Jay Lethal, Bobby Fish and Bandido for the vacated championship at Triplemania Regia II in December 2021.
The AAA Mega Championship was vacated in November 2021 when it was revealed that Kenny Omega wouldn’t be able to defend it due to injuries.
