An injury update has emerged on Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks, revealing how long he’s expected to be out of action for.
Jackson suffered a torn bicep on the March 15 episode of Dynamite, during the Elite vs Jericho Appreciation Society vs House of Black three-way trios tag-team match.
He was written off TV the following week, with the March 22 episode opening with the Young Bucks in ambulances following a backstage attack.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Matt has been given a 6-8 week timetable for a return.
Noting that there’s hope that he will be able to return in time for Double or Nothing, Meltzer said:
“He’s getting therapy, of course, for the injury, a partially torn biceps. Hopeful for Double or Nothing.
“The timetable he was given was 6-8 weeks, and that is enough time for Double or Nothing, but that’s not a guarantee, but it’s certainly a strong hope and obviously by watching the TV…it looks like The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, and Kenny Omega against The Blackpool Combat Club
“It looks like an eight-man tag team….could be happening at Double or Nothing. I don’t know that. It just feels like the setup.”
Double or Nothing will take place on May 28, just over eight weeks away.
