With the 2023 WWE Draft set to start in one week on the April 28 episode of SmackDown, a major change up could be on the horizon for the company.
When Triple H announced the Draft on television, he noted that ‘every’ WWE superstar was eligible for a call up, which includes stars from NXT.
There have been several NXT names speculated for a call up in the Draft, including Cameron Grimes, Bron Breakker, Zoey Stark and most recently Tyler Bate.
Now, per PWInsider Elite (via Wrestling Inc.), we know more names who have been pitched for call ups in the Draft, and what shows they’ve been pitched for.
The first name is Cameron Grimes, who has been discussed for a call up since well before WrestleMania, as well as former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Zoey Stark.
PWInsider doesn’t specify a brand for Grimes, and explicitly says they’re unsure which brand Stark has been pitched for.
The other names who have been pitched for call ups are former NXT Tag Team Champions Elton Prince and Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly, who have been pitched for spots on Raw, and Ilja Dragunov, who has had pitches from the SmackDown brand.
Pretty Deadly are set to be a part of next week’s NXT Spring Breakin’ event, where they face Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo in a ‘Trunk Match’.
