An AEW star has teased an appearance at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku, offering their services for a high-profile match on May 3.
As previously reported, NJPW Wrestling Dontaku will see Strong Style’s Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado and Ren Narita defend the NEVER Openweight Six Man Tag Team Championships against Kazuchika Okada and two partners of his choosing.
We now know that one of Okada’s partners will be Tomohiro Ishii as CHAOS taking on Strong Style, but the third opponent is still unknown.
Okada approached Toru Yano to join him, however Yano rejected the offer, much to the dismay of Okada.
This situation was brought to the attention of AEW’s Lance Archer who wanted to catch the eye of Okada, sending a simple message of his own:

Archer has recently targeted a number of NJPW stars, including Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay and Hiroshi Tanahashi.
Of Omega, the Murderhawk warned Tony Khan that he could no longer protect his prized asset, promising that he was coming for the IWGP United States Champion.
As previously reported, Will Ospreay and Hiroshi Tanahashi will face each other in a first-round match on May 21 at NJPW Resurgence.
The winner of that match will face Lance Archer in June at NJPW Dominion with the victor facing Omega for the IWGP United States Championship presumably at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 later that month.
