A WWE Hall of Famer has slammed the success of the WWE Performance Center when it comes to creating new superstars.
It was recently reported that Ric Flair had been at the WWE Performance Center during Wrestlemania 39 week, delivering a seminar on promo work for the athlete hopefuls.
Flair had highlighting the relatively low success rate of collegiate athletes turning into superstars on the Joe Rogan Experience, saying:
“The biggest problem is, they have like 100 of them (collegiate athletes) in NXT right now, and out of that, maybe 1 percent will make it.”
The WWE Hall of Famer would also explore the overall success of the Performance Center system, stating:
“It’s been 10 years since Ashley (Charlotte Flair) went there. The biggest group they had come out, which revolutionized the women’s division, was when Sasha (Banks), Charlotte, Bayley and Becky Lynch came up.”
He would also note that only WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and WWE United States Champion Austin Theory have made a mark on the main roster having come up through the Performance Center.
It’s worth noting, of course, that other high-profile members of the main roster to have come up have included WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan.
Tiffany Stratton has recently given an insight into life in the WWE Performance Center.
A former bodybuilder and gymnast, Stratton made her professional wrestling debut on 205 Live in November 2021 before making her NXT debut in December of that year.
