A WWE tag team has made their Raw debut against Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler which the former called ‘baptism by fire’.
On tonight’s WWE Raw (June 5), Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler were backstage discussing their need for valid competition when two new Raw stars appeared.
NXT call ups Kayden Carter and Katana Chance were waiting nearby, offering themselves up as challengers.
While Ronda Rousey mocked the pair, Baszler had some compassion while still pledging to tear their tendons apart.
In what Rousey described as a ‘baptism by fire,’ the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champs took on the newcomers in a relatively lengthy match on the Monday night staple.
In the end, it was not a squash match as one might expect as both Kayden Carter and Katana Chance got to show off some impressive offense and their teamwork.
In the end, it was Kayden Carter who lost the match for the duo by submission when Shayna Baszler had her in a vicious lock.
Elsewhere on tonight’s WWE Raw, there Sami Zayn commented on the apparent implosion of the Bloodline.
Also, another set of stars have qualified to join the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder match. Click here to find out who advanced on tonight’s episode of Raw.
