Over the past few months, multiple stars from the WWE main roster have made appearances on NXT.
The stars appearing on the show is a strategy from WWE CEO Nick Khan to increase interest in the show ahead of the upcoming media rights deal.
Recently, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Bron Breakker on the show, before he was attacked by Money In The Bank opponent Finn Balor.
NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams came to the aid of Rollins against the Judgment Day, which led to Hayes facing off against Balor in his Raw debut last week.
On tonight’s (July 4) NXT show, Hayes and Williams reflected on their issues with the Judgment Day, as well as teasing that Damian Priest could cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase on Hayes’ NXT Championship.
They finished the segment by inviting the entire Judgment Day to NXT, including Dominik Mysterio.
There has been a lot of tension within the Judgment Day in recent weeks, namely between Finn and Priest, with Priest costing Balor his match with Rollins at Money In The Bank.
