Many names from both the wrestling and rap worlds have made appearances on AEW Dynamite over the years, and we could have got a crossover from both worlds on a recent episode of Dynamite.
The Insane Clown Posse continue to dominate the Detroit area even to this day, and if they had their way, they’d have been on AEW Dynamite back in May.
AEW referee Bryce Remsburg spoke on the Should I Keep This podcast, where he revealed that the Insane Clown Posse reached out to him for an appearance on Dynamite in May, which Tony Khan rejected.
He said:
“About a month or so ago, AEW was going to Detroit and the Insane Clown Posse, who are still a thing in 2023, maybe not in their gloriest or glory years, had reached out through an intermediary asking about being part of the AEW event in Detroit. I remember they were just trying to get on the show. I was on this corporate call, and Tony Khan, someone was like, ‘Do we need ICP in Detroit?’ [Tony said], ‘Yeah I’ll have to think about that one.’ He was politely saying no.”
AEW emanated from Little Ceasers Arena in Detroit on May 10, which featured Kenny Omega vs Jon Moxley in a Steel Cage match.
The NWA recently announced that Violent J of the ICP will be at NWA 75 next weekend.
