Becky Lynch wants the end of Trish Stratus feud to be as brutal as possible.
At WWE Payback, Becky Lynch will face Trish Stratus inside of a steel cage in what should be the blowoff of their rivalry.
These two women have been engaged in a bitter feud since Stratus turned on Lynch back in April after losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Becky and Trish have had two previous matches before this upcoming steel cage showdown. At Night of Champions, Stratus defeated Lynch thanks to Zoey Stark, while the two went to a double countout on the August 14 edition of WWE Raw.
In an appearance on WWE’s The Bump, Becky Lynch explained why a Steel Cage match is the perfect way to settle the score. She said:
“I think the culmination of this five, six-month feud should be as brutal as possible.”
“We have beaten the ever-loving piss out of each other — and had Zoey interrupt at any and every opportunity. We need something to keep her out, and that is a Steel Cage Match.”
“And that was my daughter saying again, because it’s happened again, and again, and again, and again, and again. Zoey gets involved, and I’m sick of it! So we’ll have a steel cage to keep her out.”
WWE Payback will take place on Saturday, September 2 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show will also feature Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
