AEW star Bryan Danielson has opened up about his wrestling future, and the possibility of him taking on an expanded creative role within the company.
Shortly after Bryan Danielson joined AEW in 2021, Danielson stated that he planned for that contract to be his final full-time deal as a wrestler.
Danielson has proven himself as a valuable name backstage since then, with Tony Khan recently stating that he’d trust the popular star with certain responsibilities if he wasn’t around.
During the All Out post-show press conference, Danielson noted that he loves AEW creative, but doesn’t want to take away any more time from his family.
Noting that he has a lot of thinking to do, Danielson said:
“It’s hard, because I love (the creative) aspect of it so much, but I also love being with my family, and going to shows takes you away from your family.
“All of that to say, I’ve got a lot of thinking to do. That’s not a no, it’s a, ‘How do I make this work while still keeping the meaningful things in my life — the things that I find important — putting them as a top priority?'”
Danielson returned to the ring at All Out to wrestle Ricky Starks in a strap match.
Commenting on the match, Danielson stated that he was ‘carried through‘ the match by Starks.
