A former Ring of Honor Champion has said that they’re ready to burn AEW down and they will not be denied opportunities any longer!
Writing on Twitter, former ROH Women’s Champion Mercedes Martinez wrote a spicy caption to accompany a photo of herself along with tag team partner Diamante.
Martinez wrote:
“Rugged, no nonsense, rough around the edges.
We’re gonna BURN the place down so there’s nothing left standing except for the ashes that we RISE out of. We won’t be denied any opportunities anymore. We are TAKING them!
STAY TUNED.
We are just getting started.”
Previously Martinez was out of action for five months, having lost the ROH Women’s Championship to Athena at December 2022’s Ring of Honor Final Battle before reappearing in May 2023.
Mercedes Martinez made her return to Ring of Honor and AEW in a big way however, recently teaming with Diamante and having several dominant performances.
The heel team of Martinez, Diamante and Athena failed to best the babyfaces (Hikaru Shida, Skye Blue and Willow Nightingale) on the AEW All Out 2023 Zero Hour but have picked up a tag victory over Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander.
