The Rock’s representative in WWE Creative has responded to Cody Rhodes’ promo on Raw, providing clarification on the Hollywood star’s nickname.
Cody Rhodes fired numerous shots at The Rock during his promo on Monday’s (March 18) show, one of which was at The Rock’s new Final Boss monicker.
Rhodes noted that he doesn’t think the Hollywood star will be the Final Boss at WrestleMania, calling The Rock “Roman’s side chick”.
Cody also gave a shout-out to Brian Gewirtz for giving Rock the Final Boss nickname.
Gewirtz has now taken to Twitter to clarify that he didn’t come up with that name. Also taking a shot at Cody’s dog Pharaoh, Gewirtz said:
“Final Boss” isn’t anything I came up with. @TheRock calls himself that because he is that.
If it makes you feel better @CodyRhodes, I was the first to tell him about your spectacularly stupid goofy ass dog.
As previously reported, Gewirtz is currently the voice representing The Rock in the WWE Creative process.
Brian Gewirtz is a former WWE head writer who notably works for The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions company as the SVP of Development.
Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins are slated to face off against The Rock and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
