An update has emerged on two TNA Wrestling stars who are set to miss an upcoming TV taping, fueling speculation that they could be finishing up with the company.
PWInsider has pointed out that Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin of the Motor City Machine Guns are booked for a show which clashes with a set of TNA Wrestling TV tapings.
Shelley and Sabin will be in London, Ontario, Canada on April 21 for Smash Wrestling.
This is the same date at the post-Rebellion TNA TV tapings, which will take place in Las Vegas one day after the Rebellion pay-per-view.
PWInsider now reports that it is believed that Shelley and Sabin’s current contracts with TNA Wrestling are expiring soon, potentially as soon as the end of March.
The report pointed out that it would be possible for the duo to still work for the company, but TNA wouldn’t be their priority so would be able to honor the Smash promotion booking.
Alex Shelley is the most recent former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, with Shelley dropping the gold to Moose at Hard To Kill in January.
A former WWE star is set to challenge for Moose’s championship at TNA Rebellion 2024, which you can read more about right here.
