A WWE star has reflected on recently facing his long-time rivals, admitting that he felt pressure ahead of the match.
With many believing that The Usos and The New Day’s feud was one of the best tag-team rivalries in modern-wrestling, we recently received a new installment in the two teams’ story.
Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston challenged for Jimmy & Jey Uso’s WWE World Tag Team Championship on the December 15, 2025 Raw episode.
This marked the first time The Usos and The New Day met in two-on-two action since November 2022.
Speaking on Busted Open, Xavier Woods noted that he felt pressure ahead of the match, but stated that it ultimately felt like neither team had missed a beat.
Reflecting on the match, Woods said:
“It felt like pressure because we’ve been able to do so much together, and we hadn’t touched for so long.
“There’s that little bit in the back of your mind that’s like ‘Oh, can we still bring this kind of magic to the show? Do we still have what it takes chemistry-wise to bring that out of people?’
“Being able to go out there and do that, it feels amazing, because it feels like we didn’t miss a beat, like we’ve just been wrestling for every day since the last time we wrestled.
“To have chemistry like that with people is extremely rare. When you find it… That’s when wrestling is at its finest to me.”
