8. The Corporation
Before the Authority, before the McMahon-Helmsey Era, the original heel authority figure-led faction was the Corporation.
Led by Mr. McMahon with his son Shane and the stooges Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson – and joined by wrestlers such as The Rock, Big Bossman and Ken Shamrock – the Corporation was McMahon’s group to help try to keep the guys he didn’t like, most notably Stone Cold Steve Austin, from achieving any success.
This stable was the blueprint for many groups to follow, but nothing beats the original.
