Alexander Rusev becomes Rusev
Another case of the chopped name actually working out for the better is Rusev, who debuted on the main roster as ‘Alexander Rusev’, before it was shortened within a few weeks.
Rusev just flows better as a one word name. Alexander never really fit him as a first name, and he just sort of seems like a one name guy, as evidenced with his run as Miro in AEW.
