20 Greatest WrestleMania Matches EVER Ranked

13. Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton vs. Batista – WrestleMania XXX

We mentioned Kofi Kingston’s win as one of the best happy endings in WWE history, well, this might be the best one ever. Daniel Bryan had been screwed hither and yawn by Randy Orton and The Authority and the fans had to force WWE to put him in the main event of WrestleMania XXX.

What resulted was one of the best main events in company history. Bryan was on top of his game as one of the best technical wrestlers of all time and he fed off the two heels. Batista and Orton would attempt to work together before things fell apart, allowing Bryan to submit Batista and win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The image of Bryan hoisting both belts with confetti falling will forever be etched in the minds of those who saw it.

12. Money in the Bank Ladder Match – WrestleMania 21

The Money in the Bank Ladder Match was one of WWE’s last great original concepts. Had the first one sucked, it may not have caught on. Luckily, the first Money in the Bank match was maybe the best one. With talent like this all in one match, it is not hard to believe it.

Edge, Christian, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Shelton Benjamin, and Kane all took the stage at WrestleMania 21 and had one of the great Ladder matches in WWE history. Everyone got a chance to shine in this match but Benoit and Edge were the featured performers. Benoit came close to capturing the contract but Edge swung a chair and knocked Benoit off a ladder. Edge climbed up the ladder and retrieved the briefcase, winning the inaugural match and creating a great moment.

11. The Undertaker vs. Triple H – WrestleMania XXVIII

The final match in the Undertaker/Triple H/Shawn Michael series. This time it was The Undertaker who wanted another shot at Triple H. Having needed to be carted off after their WrestleMania XXVII match, Undertaker was out for revenge in 2012. Triple H accepted the rematch on one condition. Hell in a Cell.

This was a legitimate dream match at the time. Undertaker and Triple H were the two men who personified the Hell in a Cell match but they had never squared off inside the cage. This match was fantastic. It was not as violent as the previous year’s match but it told a hell of a story. Shawn Michaels was the guest referee and he and Triple H tried their best to beat the Undertaker but it was not to be. Undertaker survived their double team and beat the tar out of Triple H until he had nothing left.

Even if this was not really the “End of an Era” that it was promoted as, but it was a classic nonetheless.
