4. Call Up / Focus On New Faces
One reason why the division feels cold is because it’s the same faces on top most of the time, while other women have to struggle for TV time to accomodate for it.
The post-WrestleMania season is the time to experiment with new faces, which we are seeing with the arrival of Raquel Rodriguez on SmackDown, but give others time to shine.
WWE has arguably the best female wrestler in the world in Io Shirai sitting in their developmental, so she’s prime for a call-up and a solid push.
There are also stars like Shotzi, Aliyah and Xia Li who have a combined 3 minutes of screentime on SmackDown this year. That’s an exaggeration, but genuinely maybe only slightly.
Putting Charlotte or Ronda or Becky in a feud with any of the names I mentioned would do well to elevate them to that next level, and then suddenly there’s another key player in the division. How about that?
