On Saturday. October 10, WWE will make their return to New Orleans, Louisiana for the Money In The Bank 2026 premium live event.
This show will see two stars earn the prestigious briefcase and contract that guarantees them a title shot at any time, but it could see other titles changing hands on the show as well.
Looking ahead to Money In The Bank 2026, several champions could potentially lose their championship in NOLA come the October 10 event.
Here are six potential WWE title changes before Money In The Bank 2026.
6. Charlotte Flair captures the WWE Women’s Championship from Chelsea Green
At WWE SummerSlam 2026, Chelsea Green defeated Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Lash Legend and Tiffany Stratton in a Ladder Match to win the Interim WWE Women’s Championship.
After letting her feud get in the way of the gold, Flair defeated Cargill in their first singles meeting on the August 7 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Meanwhile on the same show, Green teamed with Stratton to suffer a loss to Fatal Influence for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. The unfortunate news is that Green revealed she suffered an orbital bone injury during the bout.
Now that Rhea Ripley is undergoing surgery and interim titleholder Green might be sidelined, it would make sense for WWE to go with someone they trust like Charlotte Flair to become the next WWE Women’s Champion at Money In The Bank 2026.
5. Jacy Jayne brings the WWE Women’s United States Championship to Fatal Influence with a win over Tiffany Stratton
On the August 7 edition of SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton made a deal with Jacy Jayne to give her a shot at the WWE Women’s United States Title if Fatal Influence gave herself and Chelsea Green a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
This led to Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid successfully defending the gold over Stratton and Green thanks to an assist from Jayne.
While this could set the stage for Fatal Influence to be draped in gold on the August 14 episode, WWE would be wise to prolong just a little bit longer until Money In The Bank 2026 after Jayne has chased the title.
Jayne becoming the WWE Women’s United States Championship would put her front and center in the SmackDown women’s scene coming out of Money In The Bank.
4. Lyra Valkyria finally regains the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Raquel Rodriguez
On the June 22 episode of Monday Night Raw, Lyra Valkyria turned heel and betrayed her longtime tag team partner Bayley.
Since then, fans have seen Valkyria display a more deranged persona that is now hellbent on winning the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
While her focus was on Sol Ruca, Raquel Rodriguez was able to dethrone her and take the title back to The Judgment Day.
Using her new attitude to its fullest extent, Lyra Valkyria could be ready to take a tactic possible to get the job done and win the Women’s IC Title at WWE Money In The Bank 2026 in New Orleans.
3. Trick Williams regains the WWE United States Championship from Baron Corbin
At WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night Two, Baron Corbin defeated Trick Williams to win the United States Championship.
Then on the August 7 WWE SmackDown, Corbin was able to retain the US Title against Williams by using the title belt for the second straight match.
Despite Corbin being a solid choice to be champion, there is a lot of contenders that are gunning for him, including a determined former champion with added motivation.
Trick being able to regain the US Title should prove to be the end of this story where Corbin helped Williams what level he has to go to for success in WWE long term.
2. Becky Lynch defeats Liv Morgan to win the WWE Women’s World Championship
On the August 3 episode of Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch made her return to the company and immediately confronted WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan.
Letting it be known that her sights were on the gold, Lynch could become the top contender to challenge Morgan for the title before long.
Considering their top star statuses, Morgan facing Lynch feels more than worthy of a spot on the WWE Money In The Bank 2026 card.
Becky Lynch dethroning Liv Morgan to win the WWE Women’s World Championship could prove to be the shakeup for the Raw women’s division that some fans have been looking for.
1. LA Knight beats Roman Reigns to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion
Over the past few months, LA Knight has become the most vocal detractor for Roman Reigns and The Bloodline since they reunited following WrestleMania 42.
After waiting for months, it feels like no one is standing in Knight’s way to getting a long awaited rematch with Reigns for championship gold.
Back at WWE Crown Jewel 2023, Reigns beat Knight to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship thanks to interference from The Bloodline.
Considering that Reigns has tried to win his championship matches without his family, Knight could have the perfect opportunity and moment to finally become the new World Heavyweight Champion if he gets his shot at WWE Money In The Bank 2026.
