Becoming a world champion has been built to be the pinnacle of the pro wrestling business for many stars, including LA Knight.

Over the past five years, Knight has become one of WWE’s most popular babyfaces.

The former TNA World Champion is someone with a surefire connection with any audience he is in front of.

His talking skills has put Knight in the conversation with some of the best in all of wrestling today.

Despite his overwhelming charisma and sensational promo ability, Knight has yet to win a world title.

Back in 2023, Knight was the newest breakout star with many fans clamoring for a main event push.

WWE followed suit and had Knight challenge then-Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for the gold at the Crown Jewel 2023 premium live event.

With the help of The Bloodline, Reigns retained over “The Megastar” in what would be one of only three world title matches for Knight in the past three years.

However, Knight has somehow found himself right back in title contention once again with Reigns as the current World Heavyweight Champion on Monday Night Raw.

Following his win with Solo Sikoa and Royce Keys over Jacob Fatu and The Usos at WWE SummerSlam 2026, Knight confronted “The OTC” and called him out for a title match on the August 3 Raw.

Pointing out his lack of notable singles wins, Reigns denied this challenge and called out the entire roster.

However, Knight did not take “no” for an answer and called out Roman’s lack of courage in his face.

While he turned down the challenge, Reigns did later tell The Bloodline that he will take care of Knight.

This could set the stage for a rematch three years in the making between LA Knight and Roman Reigns.

Is It Finally Time For LA Knight To Win The WWE World Heavyweight Championship?

Could this be Knight’s chance to finally become world champion? In WWE, you have to be “over” with the audience to hold a world title.

Time after time, it seems Knight has been able to do that better than just about everyone in the company.

After debuting in Maxximum Male Models as Max Dupri, Knight was able to dig himself out and “get over.”

Following his rivalry with Bray Wyatt, some fans thought Knight could not rebound, but he did just that.

Many fans did not think he could be a main eventer and stand toe-to-toe with the top stars, but Knight has done that.

Knight has won the United States Championship twice and maintained his popularity while holding the gold.

Somehow, Knight has once again caught fire on WWE Raw in his current feud with The Bloodline and following his viral moment on the Unreal reality series.

Meanwhile, Reigns has held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship since WrestleMania 42 as a babyface.

Despite reuniting The Bloodline, “The OTC” has won all his title matches without interference.

With “The Megastar” wanting the same treatment, it could lead to a different result than their last meeting.

Over recent months, fans and critics have been begging for new talent to hold top prizes in WWE.

While many have called for younger talent to be pushed, Knight is someone who would also be a first time world champion.

With the rise of new stars like Oba Femi, Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans, it might be “now or never” for Knight.

At 43 years old, this potential World Heavyweight Title Match with Reigns could be Knight’s last chance.

Could this finally be the time for LA Knight to win a WWE World Championship? It remains to be seen, but there might not be a better time than now for “The Megastar” or the company.
