Since her last match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, fans have not seen Bayley on the company’s programming.

Considering her contract is set to expire at the end of 2026, it was strange that WWE pulled Bayley from TV with months remaining on her deal.

Now that there have been several mentions of the former WWE Women’s Champion in recent weeks, it has led to some fans believing she will be on her way back.

Here are six potential Bayley WWE return plans.

6. Revenge on Lyra Valkyria

At the July 18 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Lyra Valkyria defeated Bayley.

Post match, Valkyria added insult to injury by viciously assaulting her former tag team partner and friend.

After disposing of Bayley in this fashion, Lyra has bragged about running “The Role Model” out of WWE.

It seems like a foregone conclusion that if Bayley makes her WWE return, it will be to enact revenge on Lyra Valkyria for betraying and savagely attacking her.

5. Moving to SmackDown

Over the years, Bayley has been one of many stars who has gone back and forth between Raw and SmackDown to freshen things up.

After that attack by Lyra Valkyria, this could give WWE the chance to move Bayley over to the blue brand.

With Friday nights in need of more veteran talent, the company would be hard-pressed find someone better suited than Bayley right now.

Bayley making the move to SmackDown could see a litany of fresh matchups, stories and opportunities for “The Role Model” moving forward.

4. New rivalry with Blake Monroe

Speaking of moving to SmackDown, WWE has the chance to give fans a match teased on social media.

On the August 21 edition of Friday Night SmaackDown, Blake Monroe was scheduled to make her in-ring debut against Giulia. However, Monroe opted to attack Giulia instead before the match could even begin.

Then in a WWE digital exclusive, Monroe stated that she would only wrestle for gold. This led to a social media back-and-forth between Monroe and WWE Raw star Bayley.

After telling the former WWE Women’s Champion to come to SmackDown, Monroe might have opened the door for Bayley’s move and a new feud to be born.

3. Joining forces with Charlotte Flair’s new group with Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley

On the August 7 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Charlotte Flair defeated Jade Cargill.

This win came as a result of Flair getting an assist from the returning Alexa Bliss and debuting Tatum Paxley to fend off Cargill’s Baddies of Michin and B-Fab.

With the likes of Cargill’s crew, Fatal Influence and Irresistible Forces in their way on SmackDown, Charlotte, Alexa and Tatum would be wise to add another major with this new stable.

Flair putting her differences aside with Bayley to welcome her into this group would be a nice full circle moment for the two longtime rivals upon her return.

2. Starting a new tag team with main roster call-up Lola Vice

Much like Charlotte Flair, Bayley has found herself with some young talent by her side as of late.

Coming over to Lucha Libre AAA, Bayley recently aligned with Lola Vice and La Catalina.

This trio picked up the victory over Los Toxicas in a six-woman tag team match at AAA Noche De Los Grandes.

With reports and rumors concerning Vice’s potential main roster call-up, Bayley’s return could be used as a vehicle to introduce Lola to a new audience in a tag team.

1. Challenging Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship

It has been quite some time since Bayley challenged for a world title in any capacity.

Back on the January 17, 2025 episode of SmackDown, Bayley failed against Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Since this loss, Bayley has not challenged for a world title and it has been far too long.

With a potential return impending, Bayley could immediately throw her name in the hat to challenge Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship sometime in the near future.
