Danhausen new WWE tag team partner plans: ‘Very Nice, Very Evil’ alliance to begin soon?

WWE

Danhausen’s cursing and backstage antics have, for the most part, yet to go properly punished in WWE, as the “Very Nice, Very Evil” star remains unbeaten in the company.

Danhausen may be biting off more than he can chew by getting on the wrong side of GUNTHER in recent weeks however, so he may soon need himself some backup on the blue brand.

Here are three potential tag team partners for Danhausen on WWE SmackDown.

R-Truth

Before Danhausen joined WWE back in February, it could be argued that R-Truth was the only one truly providing fans comic relief on a weekly basis.

While not everyone is after comedy in wrestling, it’s nice to have some levity from all the blood feuds and grudges every now and again, and Truth has consistently managed to provide laughs for a generation of fans over the past 15 years.

With Danhausen and the likes of Kit Wilson around, Truth is no longer carrying that same load, but we’ve yet to really see WWE’s two top comedy acts come together for more than a segment or two.

Now, Truth currently has more serious things to think about than an alliance with Danhausen, but once he’s past his feud with Damian Priest, we could potentially see an all-timer of a partnership form.

Ricky Saints

One of the most memorable moments of Ricky Saints and Danhausen’s shared time in AEW was their interaction on the July 20, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite, where Saints pulled off an absolutely perfect impression of Danhausen (see above).

The pair have sadly yet to meet in WWE, and Saints in general has been struggling to make it onto TV since SmackDown moved back to two hours.

Rather than relentlessly bothering AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix in social media exclusive segments, WWE should be finding a way to get Saints on TV so he can actually get fans to care about him and invest in his character.

One way to do that would be by pairing him with Danhausen in an odd couple tag team – something that would give Saints someone to bounce off of and show more of his personalty to the main roster fans.

CM Punk

It’s no secret that Danhausen and “Pepsi Phil” aka CM Punk are good friends outside of WWE.

Their friendship is something WWE tapped into recently when they and Oba Femi teamed together in a dark match on the September 25 episode of SmackDown against The Vision (Austin Theory, Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed).

Punk is often involved in more serious business in WWE, but if the company wanted to give him something to do away from the main event picture, they could allow he and Danhausen to display their chemistry on TV and perhaps even pursue the WWE Tag Team Championships.
