Usurping The Ruler: Every time Oba Femi was pinned in WWE since his debut

WWE

Since debuting in NXT, Oba Femi was instantly presented as the next major force in not only NXT, but WWE as a whole.

Three years on from his victory in the 2023 Breakout Tournament, Oba is now one of the top stars on Raw, looking poised to go on to wrestle Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 43 for the World Heavyweight Championship.

While Oba calls himself the mountain that you can’t climb, several WWE stars have managed to climb the mountain and pin the Ruler during his WWE run.

This list will only count the times Oba Femi was visibly pinned on WWE television following his debut at NXT Spring Breakin’ 2023, he took several losses on NXT Level Up in late 2022 and early 2023 before he had officially debuted on television.

Tony D’Angelo (NXT October 8, 2024 & NXT Halloween Havoc 2024)

After winning the North American Championship in just his fifth official match in NXT, Oba Femi went on to have a dominant run with the title in 2024 that truly cemented him as a future key player in the company.

Part of that run saw Oba take part in a trilogy with Tony D’Angelo, with the Don looking to take the title from Oba, first at No Mercy, where he came up short.

The next match would take place on the October 8 episode of NXT, the show’s premiere on the CW Network, where Tony would win the title and be the first man to pin Oba since his debut.

Tony would then score another pinfall over Oba at Halloween Havoc, becoming the first and only man to pin the Ruler twice.

Ethan Page (NXT Deadline 2024)

Probably Oba’s most forgotten pinfall loss, mainly due to the fact that he ended up winning the match, happened at NXT Deadline 2024 as part of the Iron Survivor Challenge.

Oba made his return after being off television since Halloween Havoc, with him immediately being catapulted into the NXT Championship picture.

Despite his dominant display and victory, Oba was actually pinned during the match, being rolled up by Ethan Page and sent to the penalty box, though Page was also sent to the box immediately after, leading to the famous moment of Oba destroying Page inside the penalty box.

Ricky Saints (NXT No Mercy 2025)

Oba went on to win the NXT Championship, dominating as the NXT Champion in 2025 just as he did as North American Champion the year prior.

The time for Oba to lose the title came at NXT No Mercy 2025, when Ricky Saints would shock the Ruler and win the title.

Oba ended up remaining in NXT for a little while longer, winning back the title before relinquishing it in January 2026 to head to the main roster.

Brock Lesnar (WWE Clash In Italy 2026)

The most recent loss on this list, and the only main roster loss Oba has taken, came at the hands of Brock Lesnar at WWE Clash In Italy.

After defeating the Beast and seemingly retiring him at WrestleMania 42, Brock would return to complete a trilogy with Oba, which ended at SummerSlam when Oba defeated Brock inside Hell In A Cell.

In the middle was the second match between the two in Italy, which saw Brock defeat Oba with seven F5s.
