Every Undertaker WrestleMania Match Ranked

20. The Undertaker vs. John Cena – WrestleMania 34

This one is incredibly disappointing. Once upon a time, this was a dream match, however, the match we got was more of a nightmare.

Cena and Taker had a match that went less than three minutes and involved Cena hitting one offensive maneuver. Had this match happened anywhere from 2009-2014 it would have been one of the biggest WrestleMania matches of all time. Instead, we got a match that was with two guys passed their primes and it left fans saddened with this harsh reality.

19. The Undertaker vs. Kane – WrestleMania XX

The first time one of Undertaker’s WrestleMania opponents came back for a second try. Kane brought about the return of ‘The Deadman’ after years of ‘The American Badass’.

For a rivalry that WWE has attempted on so many different occasions, Taker and Kane almost never had good matches together. This match was no exception. The two giants moved slowly around the ring and neither was doing so with much grace. While it was not long enough to be offensively bad, it was still not a good match. Thankfully this would be the last time Kane would challenge his brother at WrestleMania.

18. The Undertaker vs. The Big Show & A-Train – WrestleMania XIX

Like his match with Giant Gonzales, this match brings down the value of the streak ever so slightly. You might think beating two men would be more impressive than just one, but when you consider that this was supposed to be a tag match and Undertaker’s partner was removed because he was embarrassingly bad, you might reconsider.

This was the worst match on perhaps the best WrestleMania ever. WrestleMania XIX had great matches up and down the show. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. Although Nathan Jones did a run-in to even the odds, this handicap match was Undertaker beating two men on his own. This match has been swept under the carpet and that is probably what is best.

17. The Undertaker vs. Jake Roberts – WrestleMania VIII

WrestleMania VIII was not a particularly good WrestleMania. The main event was atrocious and most of the undercard was not much better.

Undertaker’s match with Jake Roberts was interesting. Roberts had demanded his release from the company and if his release papers were not prepared he would not wrestle the match. Taker was still only a year and a half into his WWF career and did as much as he could to smooth the match over. The match was fine, although not very long. Taker defeated Roberts and sent him packing.

16. The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar – WrestleMania XXX

Everyone remembers where they were when this one happened. It appeared that Brock Lesnar was on his way to becoming just another man who tried to break the streak. Little did we all know.

Brock Lesnar did the unthinkable at WrestleMania XXX when he became the first man to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. It is unfortunate that the match that would become so legendary would also be this bad. It was not anyone’s fault, as Undertaker’s head bounced off the mat early in the match, giving him a concussion. There was only so much that Lesnar could do to lead the match from that point. While the match was not good, it is the most memorable on this list.
